We started from the ground up with two people who then became three and then four and then eight and in the time-honored tradition of grassroots efforts reached out to others throughout our communities to join us, take the learning steps together and build an organization of our best and brightest.
We are a diverse group of community members who represent the environmental movement, business and investment interests, labor, local city governments, the energy industry, the public power industry, civic organizations, renewable energy advocates, subject matter experts, health organizations, and other local stakeholders working together to explore Community Choice Power and help design and launch a best in class program for our hometowns. We were all united by a common goal to get to 100% renewable power as quickly as possible.
We strive to be inclusive, transparent, honest, fair, hard working, frank and direct about pros and cons of Community Choice Power for our citizens and about the offerings that come from the County of Los Angeles, Lancaster Choice Services and our own South Bay Clean Power initiative. We publish our documents on-line as open source and encourage others to use our resources and knowledge base.
We believe in acknowledging risk and make managing it a top priority.
We believe in managing the expectations of the public and offering data and facts instead of hype and promises.
