Its technical and totally wonky name is Community Choice Aggregation – “CCA,” which isn’t surprising since it was named by politicians and it’s about cities and or counties coming together to pool or aggregate their electrical power loads to then form a nonprofit community power authority to takeover the sourcing of their energy.
Some folks like to make it sound more friendly by calling it “Community Choice Energy” but here at South Bay Clean Power we like to call it Community Choice Power because it’s about both electrical power and the power of our community.
To us, the most important two words are “Community” and “Choice.” Because now the community is actually going to get a choice.
