I was very happy to be the sponsor of the motion recently passed, co-authored by Supervisor Knabe, to begin taking steps to establish a County Community Choice Aggregation program for our unincorporated areas.

CCAs represent a significant opportunity for communities to band together and purchase green energy for their residents, at a lower price, than the current structure of for-profit investor-owned utilities now allow.

I was excited to hear that communities in the Conejo and San Fernando Valley also want to pursue this promising new strategy for themselves, recognizing that CCAs are better for our residents, and better for the environment.
