20 months after we introduced the topic of CCA in the City of Calabasas, that City at the far eastern edge of Los Angeles County has become the very first member of the new Los Angeles Community Choice Energy program and we could not be happier!
Special recognition has to go to Alan Weiner the leader of 350 Conejo/San Fernando Valley who organized that first workshop at the Calabasas Library on October 22 in 2015. South Bay Clean Power Working Group Chair, Joe Galliani, traveled to the City to present a briefing and answer questions on Community Choice Aggregation to city staff and interested parties from that City, Agoura Hills, and Westlake Village covered in the local Acorn newspaper.

SPEAK OUT—Alan Weiner of Agoura Hills addresses a recent Calabasas energy collective workshop. Right Joe Galliani from the 350.org Climate Action Group. (SYLVIE BELMOND/Acorn Newspapers)
