As you may know, South Bay Clean Power is a South Bay Los Angeles 350 Climate Action Group initiative. We began as part of 350’s 100% renewables campaign and were spawned when the City of Manhattan Beach partnered with SB/LA 350 on MB2025 on March 29, 2014.

So we were understandably deeply gratified to receive this letter from 350.org Executive Director May Boeve, yesterday:

May Boeve is the Executive Director of 350.org, an international climate change campaign. 350.org’s creative communications, organizing, and mass mobilizations strive to generate the sense of urgency required to tackle the climate crisis. Previously, May co­-founded and helped lead the Step It Up 2007 campaign, and prior to that was active in the campus climate movement while a student at Middlebury College.

South Bay Los Angeles 350 Founding Organizer, Joe Galliani, the Chair of South Bay Clean Power’s Working Group has worked with May and 350.org since 2009.
